The American University of Kurdistan

The American University of Kurdistan was founded in 2014 by H.E. Masrour Barzani as a non-profit, special status institution of higher learning located in Duhok, Kurdistan region of Iraq. Its mission is to combine the best of American-style liberal arts and professional education to produce graduates with global perspectives who are fully engaged in the advancement and flourishing of the region. Founded as a not-for-profit higher learning institution in 2014, The American University of Kurdistan (AUK) aims to mold the next generation of leaders through challenging coursework, up-to-date methodologies, and exceptional faculty. Located in the Duhok Governorate of Iraqi Kurdistan, the university is fast becoming the region’s preeminent institution of higher education.
